Welcome to our catalogue pages. Below you will find information about how you can get advance notice of catalogues by being on our Mailing List, and an explanation of the Terms and Abbreviations we use in our book descriptions. Please note that postage is extra, charged at cost.  Please see the information on Ordering for more details on postage and methods of paying.

Mailing list; if you would like to go on our mailing list to receive advance notice of each catalogue, please e-mail Sally with your details (e-mail address below). NB We never share contact details with any third parties. We produce three catalogues a year, usually February/March, June/July, and October/November;  Please note; although we sell separately, we do have a joint mailing list, so if you are on it, please do feel free to order from both of us, whoever your initial contact was with! If you are not able to use the internet regularly, we also do a postal version which we would be happy to send you.

Terms and Abbreviations

Condition is described on the following scale; (+ = better than, - = less good than); Mint (as new);  Fine (almost as new, minimal signs of wear);  VG = Very Good;  G = Good;  Fair;  Poor (or tatty for dws);  Reading Copy (ie complete copy but in poor condition and may have loose pages etc.)

Abbreviations:-  bds = boards, hard covers;  chips = fragments missing;  cbc = Children’s Book Club;  col = colour/ed;  dec = decorated;  dw = dust wrapper;  eps = endpapers;  ex-lib = ex-library;  fep = front end paper;  fp = frontispiece;  foxing = brown spots;  gen = generally;  hb = hardback;  H&S = Hodder and Stoughton;  illus = illustrated/tions;  incl = includes/ing;  inscr = inscribed;  lam = laminated;  nd = no date;  NKB = Nina K. Brisley;  OCL = Oxford Children’s Library;  onlaid/onlay = paper / card picture glued on;  o/w = otherwise;  p /pp = page / pages;  pb = paperback;  p/c = photocopied;  pic = pictorial;  prelims = pp before the title page;  pl = plates;  rep = reprint;  sl = slightly;  sp = spine;  v = very;  wraps = covers of pb books;  waf = with all faults (ie terrible)
