Sally is taking advance orders for all the new titles mentioned here. We ask that you order and pay in advance, so that we can send out the books as soon as they are published, and it also helps us gauge how many to order. You will find details of the postage cost below.

Postage is cheaper for advance orders. Titles are going out of print fast, so do pre-order to be sure of a copy.

S20)    Lloyd, Joanna; Catherine Goes to School; pb Books to Treasure 2026.  A welcome reprint of the first of the much-loved, now rare, Bramber Manor series; when she arrives at school, home-tutored Catherine is surprised by the lack of emphasis on learning and the respect for sport, but her good nature and good sense overcome all hiccups. Joanna Lloyd was one of the great exponents of the amusing school story. New £15

S9)      Forest, Antonia; The Player’s Boy; pb GGBP 2025. Young Nicholas Marlow runs away and is taken on by a London player called Master William Shakespeare. Although she only wrote a couple, Antonia Forest proves her mastery of historical fiction and produces one of the most convincing portraits of Shakespeare ever. Whether you are already a fan of historical fiction or not, this is definitely one to try. NEW £13

Our postage rates for advance orders are below - they offer a bit of a discount on actual postage rates as an incentive to place an order in advance to help with our planning.  It may occasionally be necessary to charge more if a book is significantly bigger, and we may also need to change them when new postal rates come in.
